Hum Drum

Quiet day here for me today. Sleeping last night was almost impossible for some unknown reason. At 1220 am I finally got out of bed because I got tired of tossing and turning and listening to Mr L , Bailey and Onyx snore. The more they snored the worse I felt because it only reminded me how everyone was asleep and I couldn't so, I went into the den, turned the TV on real low and knitted for about an hour. I then laid down on the couch. I finally fell asleep and at 2 am Mr L. came hurrying into the den all concerned because I wasn't in bed. No I wasn't and now, I was awake again. Yeah, wasn't happy with that, I love him for his concern. Back to bed I went. Woke up a few times so sleeping was futile.

When I finally did get out of bed around 11 am I felt just yucky all over. Headache, sore throat, weak, achy and I thought, uh oh, it's finally got me. Everyone I know is sick with something so on top of my usual 'stuff' it feels like I may have whatever it is floating around out there.

My body has decided for me that today, I won't be doing much. Its a good day for it though. The weather matches how I feel..
As you can see it's a gray, cold day outside. We are awaiting rain to move in.

I wrapped myself in my pj's , cozy robe and a blanket. Sat down on the chaise lounge in the living room and have been watching The March For Life in Washington DC.
Also working on my knitting a little bit while watching.

Bailey is not impressed with me today.

And now Im back in bed.. My body wasn't having the whole hang out on the chaise today and I can't believe I am showing you my messy bed that Im not even going to attempt to make today because I'll be in it for most of the time..

I hope you're having a better day and are feeling well! :)

  1. I hope you don't have the flu. I never get sick and yet the two days after Christmas that's exactly what happened. I was in bed for 2 days and did a whole heck of a lot of sleeping. Wishing you all the best, Tammy

  3. Hope you are feeling better Robyn! I had the flu at the beginning of December and it wasn't fun. I was achy and painy all over and stayed in bed for 3 days. Took advil and gravol the whole time! And now that I am in my mid-forties...I wake up at 3 or 4 sometimes and can't sleep. It is frustrating! I do watch tv or read until I feel sleepy again. Love your new banner! Take care and try to have a lovely weekend! Angie xo

  5. Hi Robyn, So glad you came by to say hi! I often stay awake from hubby's snoring and I've gotten to wear I just use earplugs. Sometimes, I will get up and write or get on the laptop but I totally understand how you are feeling. I hope you fight off that cold. I hope you have a warm "inside" weekend.

  7. Hi Robin, it's so frustrating when you can't sleep, and you constantly feel like you are dragging yourself around...I hope you get some sleep soon.

As for the juicer, we just use which ever fruits and veggie sound good to us...pear, apple carrot, and celery is really good. Add some red pepper, and a orange....experiment.

    1. Ohh Jen you're a risk taker with the juicer..LOL I always thought you had to have the right combo's plus cut it with some water or you end up high on sugar like I did? LOL I will have to do some reading before I attempt it again. Thank you so much for stopping by :)

  9. Oh boy lots of crud is going around. We have some in our house too right now and the worst is when you cannot sleep and feel yucky. Hope it doesn't last too long.

  10. It seems everyone around here has the crud. Stay snuggled up and sleep whenever you can. Grilled cheese and tomato soup cures everything!
